The green season is now well underway in Botswana. For anyone considering a luxury safari in Botswana, the discounts that were introduced during the recession are still "lingering around". Wilderness Safaris latest discounts were supposed to expire on November 30, but now I have indication that many of the deals will be extended for a few more months. Although Wilderness Safaris does not operate a lodge inside the Chobe National Park, the safari experiences in their Linyanti private concession is, in many peoples opinion, superior to the Chobe because of the low human density. With the Savuti Channel flowing strong, I have also heard the dry Savute March may have water bu mid 2011. This will be the first time the March has had water since the year before my first Botswana safari in 1985!
